Stories and Music at the Digital Campfire
We invite you to join us for a digital campfire with storytellers and musicians, in collaboration with the Ljungby Storytelling Festival in Sweden. Both Scotland and Sweden have selected performers to share their talent at the Ceilidh which will make for a varied and exciting event!
Daniel Allison
Daniel is a bestselling storyteller and author from East Lothian, Scotland and his podcast House of Legends attracts thousands of listeners every month. He is travelled the world sharing stories, developing a huge range of influences.
Love Ersare
Born in the very north of Sweden Love grew up listening to his grandfather retelling Nordic myths and sagas. For the past 15 years he has been part of collective Skuggteatern and he seldom regards genre or boundaries as anything other than possibilities.
Sally Simpson
Sally is a fiddle player with a particular interest in the indigenous Scottish music tradition, she studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and is part of several ensembles. An exchange year studying Swedish folk music in Stockholm sparked an interest in the role of traditional music in theatre, later leading to work with Glasgow’s Bard in the Botanics and a tour with Sting’s musical, ‘The Last Ship’.
Tine Winther
For over two decades Tine has worked with storytelling within a social context doing work with elderly people as well as in children's hospitals. She was educated at The School of Storytelling at Emerson College in England and works at Sagumuseet in Ljungby.
Trio Wolski
Trio Wolski is a folk music trio based in Malmö, Sweden. With traditional Nordic folk music as their foundation they work with improvisation and influences from the pop and jazz world to create their signature sound of immensely dance evoking folk music.
