This summer, House of Legends will present a new mythic immersion retreat in the Scottish Highlands. It’s called The Dreaming of Oak & Ash.

The event is a collaboration between myself and three hugely talented artists: Aron Hegarty of Candlelit Tales, Kirsten Milliken and Sam Gillespie of The Brothers Gillespie. Over three days and nights, within a woodland at the edge of the Perthshire highlands, we’ll venture deep into Celtic and Nordic myth. We’ll explore the tangled union of traditions which we’ve inherited, and search for glimpses of our lost pagan past within the threads of myth and legend.

Sam will bring traditional song and music to the mix, playing in time to the stories, taking us in deeper.

There will be deep nature connection, ceremony, ceilidh sessions, storytelling workshops, morning yoga led by Aron beneath the leaves.

There will be woodsmoke, cuckoos, hawthorns, poetry, strange dreams and unexpected moments of magic.

At the centre of it all, there will be stories that have lived, survived and breathed their magic for thousands of years. Stories of gods, ancestors and legendary beings that are alive and waiting to meet you.

We’re not holding back with this one. We want you to have a deep, powerful, transformative experience. And we want to start something which will continue and build for many years to come.
