Join us at Seeds of Dreams for a special evening of Irish myths, legends and folk tales.
To celebrate the launch of his new book, Irish Mythology: The Children of Danu, Daniel Allison will share stories from across the entire range of Irish folklore. Stories of shapeshifting gods, visionary shepherds and voyages far beyond this world.
This is fireside storytelling, with the stories told from memory and imagination and without the use of a book, just as the stories were told in Ireland thousands of years ago. The story, the place, the teller and the audience all come together to shape the tale. Every telling is different.
Musical accompaniment will be provided by Mannu Espinosa, who will improvise in response to the tale.
There will be a discussion afterwards led by Daniel to facilitate reflection on the stories.
We hope you can join us to experience this most ancient of art forms and the incredible lore of Celtic Ireland.
